There is just something about coming home after a long tough day of rape, pillage and plundering to a beautiful naked woman covered in mud and on a leash calling you Master that just says "Home".

Ok.. I've been avoiding this, because all the amazing posts so far are rather indimidating! But here goes.. deep breath!

I'm Australian, 29 years old, and have been around in SL for about 2 years now. I was dragged reluctantly to Gor kicking and screaming, and yep... I haven't looked back since. Finding my way to Laura and discovering you all... IMHO the most amazing bunch of creative, challenging RPers... well, it has been an incredible experience.

The lovely Anya is a Free Woman, born in Heimdal, or so the story goes. She's very proper... She has a lot of respect for herself and what she is. Her freedom is everything, so you won't see her deliberately flirting with a collar. I never know from one day to the next if she'll be giddy from a Tarn Flight and surreptitiously ordering alcohol in her juice serve, or sticking to her Black Wine and plotting how to torment the kajirae, and I love that. It lets me really explore the amazing world she lives in with my roleplay.

She's Red Caste, which means she's pretty much at her leisure within the city. She's crap with a dagger, and more likely to stick ~herself~ with a poison hairpin, so she uses words as a weapon to defend. Carefully dancing along all the right lines, and never provoking a man if she can help it. She shows deference, but is ready with a sharp retort or a disarming dose of charm if it's needed.

She'll be the first to welcome a stranger to the city, but OOCily, I can be sort of shy. So... please, feel free to come up and engage me anytime. I will try very hard to make it a fun RP experience for the both of us.

Okay here goes...

The man behind Ssani is in his late 30's and a technology freak from Florida. I have been in the IT industry for 17 years now so I have seen many technologies come and go. When I joined SL earlier this year I was a bit skeptical that I would enjoy it, and thought it was just a place to dress up "Barbie Doll" avatars and chat with your friends, nothing more. Well, I was amazed at the uses and power of SL and now believe that virtual worlds are here to stay and will only get better. I have become an official addict of SL and now Gor. I am new to Gor and still in the process of reading the series of books. I am not new to RP however. Gor is fascinating to me and is more than just RP. It has become a place for me to express myself and meet people that share a common interest.

So more about my character, Ssani. I got the name Ssani from my character when I played SWG (Star Wars Galaxies). Yes I am a Star Wars fan as well as a Trekkie. His name was Ssani Cloudwalker. So I suck with the name in SL and seems to work out for me. Well here is his official story...

Sanni Ansalso has a dark past full of mystery. The story goes that he was born of a free woman of high caste trying to conceal his birth for some unknown reason. His mother distraught left him at the edge of the Northern Forests where he was found by a Panther tribe. Not knowing what to do with the child, the Panthers left him with a family of Laura traders. The trader family raised him as their own and he has remained in Laura ever since. He became a warrior of Laura fighting for his home stone, but longs to know his true mother and identity.

I can see where having a background story of sorts helps one define their character and give direction to explore from; makes me think I ought to edit my intro post a bit to include the blurb I worked out but somehow never got around to putting in Elovar's in-world profile.

I think I've met most of you IC at one point or another, I'm emi, relatively newly acquired slave of Cernus Rhode, also known as pip, because I'm small, like a pipsqueak. OOCly, I'm 50 and live in the midwest US, into computers and my spouse and my 2 daughters. Been in SL for about 2 1/2 years, started in Gor in February of 2006 in SL, but left that summer and just returned, to Laura, about 2 months ago, when it first opened. Laura is an amazing city, I love the varied and interesting RP, good leadership makes so much difference. Master has kindly allowed me to serve the city when he is otherwise engaged, so if you see me, don't hesitate to use and abuse me:) I guess that's all for now,

I've been around in SL Gor since July 2006, so just over two years ago, even though Verity was made on April Fool's Day 2007. I have my whole RP history as Verity notecarded in some form or another, and looking over it all, there's been some very deep, dynamic character development. Though she was orginally of the Slavers', sub-caste of the Merchants, she was trained as a metal worker in Port Kar, she's lived in the Sardar as a slaver, been a pirate's slut, a Beserker wench, an elder of a few panther tribes, a rogue and thief for the Merchants of War in Semris, a lonesome wanderer throughout the Northern lands of Gor, before finally coming to Laura to work in the caste of the metal workers, as a Blacksmith...

Verity is a shady, often very scandalous, low-caste Free Woman. She has no shame. Does she still moonlight as a panther? What has she done with her horde of accrued poisons, stolen seals of Ubars and Administrators, or her precious, rare collection of Falarian wine...?

In my first life, though, I'm 25, and live in Australia, like Anya and Shae. I am a Master already, though am working toward becoming a Doctor of Communication. I'm a journalist work-wise, though I'm also a qualified Yoga teacher - in the style of Baron Baptiste and Shiva Rae's power Vinyasa yoga, and Paul Grilley's Yin Yoga..

On a personal note, I love Laura - the roleplay (especially the people) here is awesome!

Hey! Isn't that a Song? Well, I'm Sorbet, of course. The small blonde kajira (Yes, Pip is just a bit shorter ) you might have seen runing around the city trying to avoid trouble. Well, ok sometimes. That walkway where you do the infirmary wash is just too close to the washtub.

RL, I am 20 years old, and a dog groomer by trade. I am new to Gor, but not to SL. However, I did a lot of research first! I do my best, and am always willing and eager to learn more. So if you are in need of a pesky sidekick, holler. I'm ready for almost anything. Uhmm.. that is anything the Slavers and Kennel Mistresses allow!

Ever do it while trying to shout something to everyone in the City? I have.... /me crawls under a rock and dies...

Typos happen the same as things get misspelled from time to time, we all do it sooner or later, no way around it really. As a fact, we are really supposed to be hearing each others words, not reading text on the screen so if I see one go by I tend to think of it as an accent or some thing. Eye kant spelk fur beens so I know I make my share and then some... roll with it and keep the RP in motion.

/me sits back down, thinks a moment, then stands up again....

"I came to SL Gor in December, 2007, but was playing Beowulf Klossovsky at the time. I was Leiutenant there until I brought my alt Gavin to Laura in May. That's "me" in a nutshell on here."

Gavin is..hm.. he is very loyal, honorable. He does not put up with crap from anyone but is patient as a waiting larl in dealing with the general masses. He is strong and likes to think he is well-guarded but does wear his heart on his sleeve at times. He HATES panthers (sorry Alice, LOL) but is friendly with a few chosen ones worthy enough.

Gavin loves being First Sword and puts his soul into it. He sometimes sucks at battle due to his crappy laptop but when SL is being nice he is actually very good at fighting.

Welcome to the City Forum Board Gavin, had seen you here in the beginning and was hoping that you would be back. I think just about everyone in the City has met you; kinda hard to miss you with you hanging by the main gate so much, laughs. I hope to see many more of your words here on the boards; it's a great way to talk about stuff!!

Its really great to get to know the other citizens in this way, and so I take my limited courage in hand and post too. Just a few words about myself...hmmmm...

I'm from northeast Pennsylvania in the US, a country girl...they call us 'ridge runners' up here. I'm married with 2 kids who are both married and living in Delaware. We install alarm and camera systems in businesses and homes and I love computers, riding my Suzuki 800 and being online with my friends.

I have been on Gor almost 10 years in different types of chat, starting with IRC. SL is an incredible way to express the need to return to what is basic, a more simplistic life. I think that longing is what holds most of us when things get irritating and/or drama laden. Gor is much more than mere RP, but its been wonderful to find a way to share that experience with others that understand and love it too.

ShaRee, for a short background, is a traveler to many different cities to fill contracts for her pottery and glassware. Having been FC'ed for a few years to a wayward and lazy man who lived off her work, she finally refused to renew the contract and now just fends for herself. A new homestone far away from where he resides was just the ticket, and when she was stuck for a few days in Laura because of problems with the ship she traveled on, she fell in love with the rustic and welcoming city..deciding to stay on when the ship sailed. Good choice!

I look forward to continued RP for a long time and to meeting each of you in one way or another.

So I sat debating my post or if I should after reading each introduction. Either sleep deprivation or bravery has struck and I decided I would.

My name obviously is chasity though I have been known by others in character I am a cold calculating free women currently with the title kennel Mistress thought plat is more the kennel Mistress then I. ( I have a whole developed story line i put into my profile)
I have played in gor for sometime a good 5-6 years from yahoo chat rooms, muds, to even Real life at some point though personally I had always enjoyed the florishes of onlineism with plats coaxing I decided to try something different.

About the RL me. I have a oncall job that wisks me away at random times. I have always been a geek endevouring to read all that I can though robert jordon has always been my favorite author. Despite loving the culture and layout of john normans books I found his writing style dry and conflicting so honestly never made it through the whole of the series I did however struggle through at least 3 of them. I am 25 years old with a daughter (10 months now) I have been to college for psychology though managed only my associates before bordome and finances stopped my persuit I intend to continue in the field later.

anyway thats me I guess a bit shy at times reclusive too but always curious. Its not that I dont want to join in the comminity its rather that I get timid *smiles*

With new faces coming into the City almost every day I think that it is important for one to let yourself be known. This board is the easiest way to reach the most people announcing your presence in the shortest amount of time.

I really appreciate everyones entries here because I for one don't want to miss anyone. One of the biggest reasons I left my old Home Stone was that I sorrta fell through the cracks of the place never really connecting with anyone. My own fault I know but the place was quite large so it was easy to just stand in the background and listen to the RP so I did. The City of Laura is smaller so interaction happens and with the shops being right on the square the number of things to do or people to RP with is magnified. I just LOVE the place though it's not the build that makes it what it is, it's YOU!!!

Oh, sorry, ... my words don't alway express what I meant to say. I know the sim is the same size as all other sims, it's the size of the square and the layout of the town that I was referring to; small feel, easy to be involved in the happenings.

Small towns are great unless you are trying to hide something stupid that you did ..laughs..

Hay I'm Eagle, one of the slavers of Laura. I'm a nice guy that loves to have fun and in for a joke or two. Although I try to take my job as a slaver seriously.

I'm a dominant guy in rl and in my job as a fire fighter I need to be in control. I live in Holland, have a wife, no kids but a dog ! My job takes me on different hours of the day, so you can meet me anytime during the day.

When I am on, it is for having fun and the interest for meeting others. Arthor is my RL friend and he is the one pointing to Laura. It's been nice, finding my way, although I still feel stupid when it comes to RP at times. But give me time to build my character and it will be fine. I had the luck of finding a FW that wanted to submit to me, as she is very experienced in SL Gor. Nice to meet nice people and very skilled too.
