| I have no doubt that this post will be removed, and that I will be outsted from your forum. A risk I take and that of public judgement and opinion with this post.
Laura was once a city where everyone, knew their role. It was the most powerful City in SL Gor. What I have witnessed over many months now, saddens me greatly. Ari like I and others that put so much into our sims, to create what is John Normans views and why we all gather as we do, should see that GOR BONDS PEOPLE. It is a harsh and unrelenting world - It creates familes and forges amazing friendship IC and OOC.
We provide the base. The land and buildings a home for you. Its your home. The strength of a city is only measured on those that are within its walls. YOU. I could kick all of those that I know to say, how did you let this happen. Where is the Unity and those friendships that the day I left Laura, saw me wanting every day to return, because as Laurens, you had a belief strength and commitment as individuals that when you bonded together, you were powerful.
Do people that are discontent in Laura, for what has been the changes over many months, think that moving to a new sim and city just changes it all.? NO. Every City has its issues. If you are a true Lauran, then stop the bitching and all your whining and go back to pulling together as a city for 2009..... Moving is not the answer. Pulling back together as the powerful group you once were, is.
On a personal note - Yes I was once a slave of your city. Many of you know me. I now own a rival city, a different path, but my love for Laura and its people and one Man within its walls, never changed nor will. You have some very special people there, even with the loss of a few, many still remain. Many friendships as strong as the day I entered your city and never lost...where is that bond that united you to defy what is the OOC drama and IC issues of the past months.
KICKS all YOUR butts.....Wake up Laurans! Your a breed - strength - honour - commitment - that is the Laura I once knew and the people within it. Ari gave you the foundation - rebuild your bonds.
To all the very very special people that are still within Laura - stay - put the past behind you and make Laura the city is was for 2009....besides, you have a rival...*winks*. Don't let people destroy what is, the Laura I once knew.
To ALL my friends in Laura - Hugs for 2009 - see you in role play - and to the Man I love, all the very best for the year ahead.
FRIENDSHIP - COMMITMENT - TRUST - HONOUR = STRENGTH = LAURENS!!!! A BREED LIKE NO OTHER.

| I don't think the other post will be deleted ... cause in fairness you nailed it pretty good, in my belief. We have a wonderful city, and in many ways I believe the city was build on a very strong foundation. Still there is friendship even for those that left, bonds are made every day again ... and yes in every city is a charme or evil twist. Still I think it is strenght to be open where we perhaps could improve, room for disagreement but with respect and in good will to see other point of views. In my day to day life I experience that many people run or hide when there are problems, and often I suggest to just listen and give room to anger, dissapointment and emotions. Cause in sharing them is strengt, building and union. I believe we all learned and are again growing ... There is much to celibrate ... and ... perhaps even to share in pain ... I won't be running ... *me looks shifty still in full control of things and chuckles* Laura !! | |

| /me thinks he witnessed a wonderful FC-ceremony yesterday. Especially Dren's very short and strong vow was impressive. Hopefully the craftsmen will be able to build the pavillion in time for his own FC-ceremony next sunday. Checking the scroll he sees the preparations are on schedule : - Pavillion : ordered on sunday afternoon
- Flowers : will be delivered sunday afternoon
- Furniture : in storage, ready to be put in the pavillion
- FC-contract : written and ready to be signed
- FC-procedure : ready and given to the scribe
- Ka-la-na : Put away in a safe place, out of reach for Carlin (that naughty slave)
- Male FC-outfit : Ready to wear
- Female FC-outfit : Hopefully she will be ready in time (women, he sighs...)
- Slave outfit : New red silks bought for the slaves, ready to wear
Nervously walking around the table in his house he wonders what in the PK's name he might have forgotten...

| /me chuckles noticing Sir Arthor nervous walk ... she sighs her relief that the FC Ceremony went well. She takes out some scrolls and starts eagerly to study them, hardly able to wait for herself to start as an apprentice. Her thoughts go out to the ceremony once again ... her lips curl up in a smile thinking of the scroll Dren left home: 'Thank the PK that he forgot it ... never knew what he would have said if he had it with him.' She notices Arthor again, wondering what he will say and if he would have the talent to keep the total gathering in suspense as Dren did when it seemed as if he was about to collar her. Her fingers trail down the beautiful necklace, she smiles brightly: 'How wonderful it was with so many friends ... even her beautiful and wonderful sisters from the forest.' Thank you all for being there !! | |

| /me peeks out the kennel-door and looks to the water-barrel... will it still be empty? And do the huntresses notice it? Over the past few days apparently no one needed a drink. I wonder what will happen when they ask for a serve and there is no water to make tea or anything else that water is needed for... /me shows an evil grin, goes back inside the kennel, closes the door and waits for the things to come | |

| thinks his brain gets deformed from all these hours he has spent on Gor. Lots of times I read 'collating sequence' in generated scripts, but my eyes read ' collaring sequence' And words like furniture, further(more)... everytime they are read or written my mind drifts off... I guess its time for some treatment and I wonder if it would be wise to visit doctor Dren... Nah, he has the same virus | |

I had a furtive look at wiktionary ....
Fur From Middle English furren, from Middle French fourrer, from Old French forrer, from the Proto-Germanic *fuerre (“sheath”).

| /me is thinking : "How will the Bila panthers feel when they awake this morning after drinking the paga from the barrel he traded for his brother to free him?" Yes, indeed... that barrel that was put outside the gates, containing paga that was outdated and that should have been thrown away a week ago ... | |
