| Are all the Laurans who live in Australia okay? This concerned me when I read the news reports yesterday morning - I know we have a few Aussies in our group.

| Thank you Gavin
Sydney neither has had the deadly wildfires this time. nor the flooding. But living in Australia means to live with the threat of bushfires. I had bushfires in my backyard in 2003 and only water dumping by the Erickson Skycranes saved my house. That fire was nothing compared to the ones that raged in the state of Victoria ...killing in the end well over 200 people and a 1000 homes. nothing could have stopped a fire that travels 25 KMs in 15 minutes.
Erickson Skycrane in action, taken 40 Kms away from my home. | |
