Artisans' Event Comes to Laura!

Tal, fellow citizens!

We are planning an "Artisans' Day" for Saturday, November 22. The tenative schedule of events is below. Please IM me in-world or post here if you are interested in this event, we want everyone to speak on their subcastes of the Artisans' Caste and make presentations. This will bring in lots of people interested in the low castes of Gor and hopefully spawn more such events in the future.

Celebrate the Artisans Event! - City of Laura

Judges for "Artisan of the Day": High Council Members (and/or others, TBD)

TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:

1:00 PM: Painters' Display and Discussion
-paintings displayed
-discussion of the paintings, how they were created (can be OOC here too, if they used photoshop etc...)
-invitation to join this subcaste of the Artisans

2:00 PM: Musicians' Performances and Discussion
-performances of all types
-discussion of instruments used, their origin in Gor, anything of interest (how the artist feels playing it, where the instrument has been used, how the instrument is made etc, discussion of songs and who would have written them)
-invitation to join this subcaste of the Artisans

3:00 PM: Metal Workers Goods' Display and Barterng
-displays set up
-descriptons of the goods, how they were made, and an offering/selling of them at the end of the presentation
-invitation for more people to join this subcaste

4:00 PM: Dressmakers' Display and Bartering
-displays set up
-explanation of fabrics, etc. and offering/selling at end of presentation
-invitation to join this subcaste

5:00 PM: Poets' Discussion
-reading of poetry
-explanation of poems and story behind them.
-invitation to join this subcaste

7:00: Announcement of Winners

/me ponders a moment ... looks over her shoulder to see if no one is watching her and rereads it again. It would be of course a great way to show her paintings and make people see her as the painter she is. She chuckles ... or at least let them believe it. She takes a scroll and starts to write.

I have 3 people signed up for this so far, this is great. Spread the word, let's fill the city with Artisans that day!

The pavilion is all set up for the event. Please come support this on Saturday!! This should be really fun.
